Brett & David share how guitars are changing kids’ lives in Santa Cruz

This holiday season, two of our very own Santa Cruz Sounding Board members — Brett Wiltshire and David Adams — joined hosts Tam and Susan O’Connor Fraser on Think Local First radio to share the heart and impact of Free Guitars 4 Kids as part of the 2025 Santa Cruz Gives fundraising campaign.

During the interview, Brett and David spoke about the power of community generosity and how FG4K is making music and opportunity accessible to young people across Santa Cruz County. The conversation highlighted our mission to put guitars in the hands of kids who may never have had the chance to own an instrument — and the lasting ripple effect music can have on confidence and creativity.
