FG4K Partners in Maryland Guitar Giveaway

Jackson and Claudia receive new guitars from FG4K, Island Music Co., and PISOTA in La Plata, Maryland.

Two Charles County students begin their musical journey with guitars, lessons, and a community cheering them on.

On February 10 in La Plata, Maryland, Free Guitars 4 Kids partnered with Island Music Co. and Phoenix International School of the Arts (PISOTA) to create an unforgettable moment for two Charles County students — Jackson and Claudia.

After school, Jackson and Claudia visited Island Music Co. to select brand-new guitars of their own, generously donated through this partnership. To ensure their journey doesn’t stop on day one, each student also received a month of free guitar lessons, providing mentorship and guidance as they begin learning to play.

The impact extends beyond two students. PISOTA also received three additional instruments, which will expand impact and hands-on music access for more students in their arts-integrated program.

At FG4K, we believe that when you place an instrument in a child’s hands and surround them with encouragement, you’re doing more than teaching music — you’re building resilience and creativity. Partnerships like this demonstrate how local businesses, schools, and nonprofits can work together to ensure that local ecosystems and their youth thrive.

We’re grateful to Island Music Co. and PISOTA for believing in their students and in the power of music to change lives.
