An exciting new collaboration brings innovative music tools and fresh opportunities to the FG4K community.
There's something pretty remarkable about the moment a kid receives their first guitar.
The excitement. The curiosity. The realization that this instrument is actually theirs.
At Free Guitars 4 Kids, we get to witness moments like these all the time. And while putting a guitar into a kid's hands is something worth celebrating, we're just as excited about everything that can happen next.
That's why we're thrilled to announce a new collaboration with Guitar Wiz!
Guitar Wiz is an award-winning app designed to make playing guitar more accessible, approachable, and enjoyable. And now, we're bringing our shared enthusiasm for music together to help more kids discover what's possible with a guitar in their hands.
They are generously providing promo codes, giving students and teachers access to their award-winning guitar learning app, opening up even more opportunities to learn, play, and grow.
Getting a guitar into a kid's hands is an incredible starting point.
But learning those first few chords, discovering new sounds, and finding the confidence to keep going? That's where a whole new world begins to open up.
Through our network of dedicated program partners, kids across the country receive guitars alongside opportunities for instruction, mentorship, and meaningful connection.
And we're always looking for ways to build on that experience.
Guitar Wiz brings some pretty exciting resources to the table, including an extensive chord library, guitar tuner, metronome, and other creative tools that make learning and practicing more approachable.
The app was also recognized with the 2026 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity, celebrating its thoughtful approach to making music more accessible to people of different abilities and experience levels.
It's the kind of innovation we love seeing in the music community, especially when it's paired with a shared commitment to opening doors for the next generation.
More tools. More possibilities.
As part of this collaboration, we're looking forward to introducing Guitar Wiz as an additional resource through our FG4K Guitar School and program communications.
Guitar Wiz will also help share the FG4K mission with its own community, bringing greater awareness to the importance of music access for kids in underserved communities.
It's a collaboration built around something we both believe:
When we remove barriers to making music, we make room for more possibilities.
One of our favorite things about FG4K is the remarkable community of people and organizations who bring their own gifts, resources, and expertise to this mission.
Every contribution matters, and we're grateful for the ways they come together.
A big thank you to the Guitar Wiz team for believing in what we're doing and for bringing their creativity to the mix.
Because a guitar can open a door, and together, we can help kids discover what's on the other side.
