Free Guitars 4 Kids gave 30 brand-new guitars to local kids at Party on the Plaza. Heading back to school with a guitar in hand, it's different this year!
We had an unforgettable evening at Party on the Plaza in Burnsville, Minnesota!
As part of our Back 2 School, Back 2 Music campaign, Free Guitars 4 Kids gave away 30 brand-new guitars to local kids from a range of community partners—including schools, arts programs, youth outreach groups, and churches. Each child also received access to mentorship and guitar lessons—opening the door for them to explore music, creativity, and confidence.
It was a night filled with community, joy, and unforgettable smiles. “The smiles on the kids’ faces said it all—the guitars may have been acoustic, but the joy was truly electric,” said co-founder Terry Esau. WCCO-TV was there to capture the moment, sharing the heartwarming story of how music can transform lives.
